With the release of the latest Naruto movie, Boruto: Naruto the Movie, fans of the anime and manga series are wondering if the movies are worth watching. After all, the TV show ended nearly a decade ago, and some might wonder if the movies can live up to the hype.

For those who are unfamiliar with Naruto, it tells the story of a young ninja named Naruto Uzumaki, who dreams of becoming Hokage, the leader of his village. The anime and manga series was incredibly popular when it aired, and has since spawned numerous video games, spin-offs, and of course, movies.

So, are the Naruto movies worth watching? The answer is yes! While they may not be as good as the original TV show, they are still enjoyable to watch. If you’re a fan of the franchise, then you’ll definitely want to check out the movies.

The Plot

All of the Naruto movies take place outside of the normal continuity of the anime and manga, meaning that none of the events that occur in them actually happened in the overall story. The first movie, Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, was released in Japanese theaters in 2004. The movie follows a group of Konoha ninja who are sent on a mission to escort a actress, Yukie Fujikaze, to the set of her latest movie. However, when they arrive, they find that Yukie has been kidnapped by a group of Snow Country ninja who are looking for revenge against Konoha. The Konoha ninja then have to battle their way through the Snow Country to rescue Yukie and return her safely home.

The second movie, Legend of the Stone of Gelel, was released in 2005. The movie takes place shortly after Naruto Uzumaki returns to Konoha from his training with Jiraiya. While out on a mission with Shikamaru Nara and Sakura Haruno, they come across a lost dog which leads them into enemy territory. There they discover that there is a secretly plot being hatched by the country’s military leaders to overthrow its king using Stone Gelel, which has special powers that can be used to control people’s minds. In order to stop this plot from coming to fruition, Naruto and his team must race against time to find and stop those who would misuse Stone Gelel for their own evil ends.

The third movie, Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom, was released in 2006. In this movie, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Rock Lee, and Tenten are assigned to escort Prince Michiru on a diplomatic mission to the Land of Moon. However upon arrival they discover that Michiru is not who he says he is and that they are now caught up in political intrigue surrounding succession to the throne of Moon Country. With enemies on all sides, it will take all their skills as ninja to make it out alive while still completing their mission.

The fourth movie, installments The Lost Tower and Blood Prison respectively, were both released in 2011. The Lost Tower takes place during Naruto’s training with Jiraiya where he is sent back in time 20 years into the past where he meets Minato Namikaze – his father – for the first time ever as well as Obito Uchiha – Kakashi Hatake’s partner who was thought to have died long ago. Blood Prison follows shortly after Naruto becomes Hokage where he is framed for attempting to assassinate the Fire Daimyo and is imprisoned in H Watkins Correctional Facility – Blood Prison – without any chance for appeal or escape. During his stay there he meets Mugino who helps him uncover the true mastermind behind his false imprisonment as well as reveals some dark secrets about Blood Prison itself along the way.

All four movies are considered canon by Masashi Kishimoto – creator of Naruto – with The Lost Tower being placed during Part 1 of the story and Blood Prison taking place during Part 2.

The Characters

The Naruto movies are full of beloved characters that fans have been following for years. While the focus is mainly on Naruto himself, there are also several other memorable characters that appear throughout the series. Some of these characters are fan favorites, while others are more controversial. However, all of them contribute to the overall story in some way.

The Animation

The first thing to bear in mind when deciding whether or not the Naruto movies are worth watching is the animation. All of the Naruto movies are animated, and they are all made by Studio Pierrot. This studio has a very good reputation for animating shonen anime. In fact, it is often considered to be one of the best studios for this genre. So, if you’re a fan of shonen anime, then you will probably enjoy the animation in the Naruto movies.

The Music

When it comes to anime, the music is just as important as the story and animation. A great anime will have a soundtrack that perfectly sets the tone for the scenes it accompanies. It will make you feel the full range of emotions that the characters are experiencing, and it will stay with you long after the series is over. So, is the music in the Naruto movies worth watching?

The answer is a resounding yes! The music in the Naruto movies is some of the best in all of anime. It perfectly captures the intense action and emotional rollercoasters of the movies, and it will stay with you long after you’ve finished watching them. If you’re a fan of anime, or even just a fan of great music, then you owe it to yourself to check out the Naruto movies.

The Action

The action in the Naruto movies is definitely worth watching. If you’re a fan of the anime/manga, then you’ll appreciate seeing all of your favorite characters in action on the big screen. Even if you’re not familiar with the source material, the action scenes are well-choreographed and exciting to watch.

The Emotion

What the Naruto movies do well is evoke emotion. They are full of heart and make you feel for the characters. If you’re looking for a series that will make you laugh and cry, then the Naruto movies are worth watching.

The Conclusion

So, are the Naruto movies worth watching? If you’re a fan of the series, then absolutely! If you’re new to Naruto, then the movies may not be the best place to start. But if you’re looking for some mind-bending action sequences and want to see some of your favorite characters in a whole new light, then by all means, sit down and enjoy!

The Pros

The first movie in the franchise, “The Lost Tower,” was a great watch. Not only does it have a great story, but the visuals and excitement of the film make it worth watching.

“Boruto: Naruto the Movie” is another great installment in the franchise. The story is well-written and exciting, and while it may not be as action-packed as some of the other entries, it’s still a great watch.

“The Last: Naruto the Movie” is an excellent conclusion to the franchise. It features excellent action sequences, a touching story, and some of the best animation in any anime movie. If you’re a fan of Naruto, this is a must-see.

The Cons

The Naruto movies are not without their faults. One of the biggest problems is that they often deviate from the story in the anime and manga. This can be very confusing for fans who are used to following a certain narrative. Also, because the movies are not released in chronological order, they can be difficult to follow if you’re not familiar with the franchise. Additionally, the movies often rely heavily on action and fights, with very little character development or plot. As a result, they can feel quite shallow and unengaging.
